Do senior managers do enough to support people with disabilities?
The more senior in status a person, the less tolerance they have.
Is this true? A persons’s cognitave ability is frequently not affected by a disability. Do disabled people find networking and negotiating office politics difficult?
Quite frequently disabled people in senior management realise that working for themselvs is more rewarding and satisfying. Only too often the senior management do not understand their problems and this makes engagement much more difficult
It is often assumed that a disabled person is lucky to have a job. Organisations usually want to support them in keeping that job, but often disabled people aren’t necessarily regarded as wanting a career, which can mean they are overlooked when it comes to coaching.
